But when Joel, my high school sweetheart, popped the question, something clicked.
I wanted more than just weekends off. I dreamt of a life where I could soak in every moment,
from family dinners to our future kids’ first steps.

I hail from the lively vibes of Cuba. Being Latina means family is everything.
I’ve got some pretty amazing women in my life – from doctors to engineers. That has absolutely impacted who I am today.
They’ve taught me that success isn’t just about making it big; it’s about lifting others up.
